In which I fly back to the US for a couple days to attend my sister's wedding then fly back.
Yeah, I'm nuts. This is known.
This means I'm sitting around the Graz airport for awhile...
...before getting on a bus that will take us to the plane to Vienna.
'Twas a small plane.
'Twas also a nice day.
This is the part where I bombard you with photos from the air because I had a window seat and nothing better to do.
The flight was too short for a snack, so they just passed out some water.
Approaching Vienna.
Hopefully my students realize that Vienna is very large, interesting things to do are not clustered together in one place like they are in Salzburg, and that you have to do your homework and research what there is to do and how to get there before getting on the plane.
Of course.
I'd never been to this airport but the signs were clear.
However, the airport contains a major design flaw that wasn't a design flaw when it was built, because the shops are on the outside of the security gate, meaning that you can't effectively purchase any liquids. Chicago and Frankfurt are much better because the security checkpoint is in front of the shops, allowing you to shop and taking your purchase on the plane.
The safety video took us on a journey through the Uncanny Valley. It also contained a romantic subplot. I'm not kidding.
This looks like slop but it was one of the best tasting meals I've had on a plain. The spinach puree was delicious.
The Toronto airport is long and boring.
Next step, itty bitty plane. This is a Beechcraft 1900D, seats 19. We had 15 passengers, one of whom was a pilot on his way to a different assignment who was interesting to listen to.
I enjoyed this one, you can really feel it fly.
In the smallest plane used for commercial air travel, we taxied past the largest plane used for commercial air travel.
We could see into the cockpit, which was neat.
It was raining in Detroit.
Landed.
One of the people on the plane was going to the JW convention.
Waiting for Austin to pull in from the carpool lot.
Next: Dinners are rehearsed! Things are made! Clothes are put on!
