Here are the pictures I have from the wedding ceremony and reception. Since I was forbidden from walking down the aisle with my camera around my neck, I handed the camera to my friend Austin (the actual official owner of the camera) to take pictures for me. The contrast between the shade under the tent and the bright sunlight outside made this difficult, but he got some good shots.
Here's Mom.
Kyle escorting Mom to her seat.
Brandy, who wasn't actually sleepwalking.
The groomsmaid had a different color dress.
Stacey is concentrating very hard on not tripping. Several people got their high heels stuck in the deck boards during the rehearsal.
The ceremony was lovely. We had to swat flies away a couple times, but it went pretty smoothly. After the ceremony, the bridal party was whisked away to a lake to take pictures, which was time consuming and involved negotiating with the photographer on how much poison ivy we were supposed to stand it. The pictures are going to look great, though.
I was at the head table away from my camera for parts of the reception and dancing for other parts, so there aren't as many pictures. Here's a bunch of blurry pictures of people dancing! The light wasn't bright enough to capture movement really well. The professional photographers had remote fill flashes set up so their pictures should turn out great, I just did my best with what I had.
First dance.
Then the father daughter dance.
Then the mother son dance.
After that, there was the Anniversary dance, where all married couples were invited to the dance floor then kicked off again in order of ascending marriage length. Emily and Kyle got booted off first. I was working on shoving Grandma and Grandpa onto the dance floor as quickly as possible since I knew no one could beat them. I got them dancing around the 30-years married mark. They were the last ones standing with a 63 year old marriage.
At this point, my feet were screaming at me and Austin had to get to work since he works third shift. I was planning on crashing on his couch so I could see Miko, my cat. I took a picture of my piece of cake before scarfing it down. 'Twas yummy.
Got a few snapshots of people before leaving.
The ride home was agony. The soles of my feet were throbbing with pain. Thankfully the ibuprofen I took when we got home helped and Austin had a squishy blanket for me to wrap my feet in. Miko seemed amused to see me and slept on my chest for awhile. The next day I mostly slept and Did Not Stand Up. Tomorrow we're traveling to Slovenia to visit the city of Maribor. Hopefully my feet will survive. I know they're not going to survive the trip to Vienna, but I'll face that challenge when I come to it. Hope everyone enjoyed the pictures.
